Saturday, 05/24/03; East Warwich Day Two
Rainy Cape Cod
When we awoke, the weather was just the same as yesterday. We were disappointed that we would not get to see Cape Cod at its best. Nonetheless, we had a great day seeing the Cape. Keith had been there briefly fifty years ago, but it was a first time for the rest of the Four. Jane and Ray ran us into Chatham where we saw many quaint shops, gorgeous trees and plants and a very large unusual church. We were not daunted by the weather and enjoyed the tour and especially the company of Jane and Ray. Lunch was at a unusual bistro named “Land Ho!” We enjoyed their clam chowder and beer.

Later that afternoon friends of Jane and Ray came over to chat and then we went out to dinner at a very nice restaurant. We all had a scrumptious dinner and then back to the Molyneux’s house for more visiting.

We were particularly glad for the opportunity to get to know Jane and Ray. They had been on the tour to Europe with us in 2001. However, the number of people on the tour was so great, that the tour had to be divided into two sections; the Molyneuxs were not in our section and we seldom saw them, let alone get to talk with them. Keith and Ray had much in common as they both were former airplane owners and pilots. We will forever be grateful for their wonderful hospitality.
We plan to leave Cape Cod in the morning, heading for Boston and points north.
Check in and see if we make it!
