Dear Family & Friends:
We slept late this AM! Didn’t get up until 0600! Joann and Keith walked a block to a MacDonald’s for breakfast – a change over having cereal in our room for a quick getaway on “driving” days.
Keith and Dennis had an 0800 appointment to meet in the motel parking lot for some preventive maintenance. Dennis wanted to “rotate” his tires and check his brakes; Keith just needed to do the latter. They found a shady spot and were finished by 0930.

While the “boys” were taking a shower, the girls cleaned the cars. A photographer working for the newspaper across the street from the motel interviewed them. By 1015, we were on our way to the Ringling mansion to view the wonders and richness of the 20’s and 30’s as presented by John Ringling of circus fame. The place was impressive.

After touring the mansion, we had lunch and took in the Circus Museum. Then it was a quick tour of the Art Museum. That was the least interesting to the group. The collection was just not to our taste, but probably very valuable. On our return from the Ringling mansion, we stopped at the Sarasota Ford Dealership for a photo op.

Next, it was time for a nap. Then we met for a drive around town for dinner. It is to bed early for a normal departure tomorrow. You’ll have to visit the web page tomorrow to find out where we are going and what we will see.
