Dear Family and Friends;

 

Here we are in Sarasota! We continue to click off the towns on our planning charts! Several months ago these towns were just names in our plan and dots on a map. Now, they take on real character as we drive through their streets, eat in their restaurants and visit their attractions.

 

Dennis and Keith have started a new contest; to see which one can manage to forget to leave the gas caps off the most times and to see which one can have the cap fall off the cowl at the most inopportune time. The number of times is a tie, but Keith is ahead in the latter category: his dropped off in the middle of the I-75 on-ramp! None have been lost – yet!

 

We are beginning to get real warm weather – in the 90’s today, but a delightful breeze was blowing. We went out to the beach to show Joanie how fine and white the sand is here on the Gulf Coast. It was too hot there for us and we quickly retreated to our cars.

From the beach, we drove until we found the Jungle Gardens. It was late in the day, so it was a hurried trip. We are staying two nights here to do some sightseeing of the John Ringling Estate and the Ringling Brothers Circus Museum.
